Precautions to take before using an alternative therapy
It is strongly advised to consult a Doctor or your GP before embarking on any non-conventional or alternative therapies and methods. For some health problems, conventional Drugs, Surgery or Psychiatric treatment is essential, and conventional medicine should never be abandoned on the advice of a complementary practitioner.
It is advised that you read the precautions below and the "Red Light" symptoms (or Warning Signs) as well as our guide to choosing a therapist.

Always consult you doctor or GP before embarking on any non-conventional form of treatment if you have any medical condition or illness

Do not stop taking any prescribed medication without the agreement of your GP or doctor

Always tell your complementary therapist about any prescribed medication that you are taking, or other complementary therapies you are receiving

Tell your doctor or GP about any complementary treatments or therapies that you are receiving

Advise your complementary therapist if you have a Contagious Disease; eg Hepatitis

Do not begin any course of complementary treatment without first consulting your doctor or GP if you are Pregnant or trying to conceive

Check with your doctor or GP before allowing babies or infants to recieve complementary treatments, as some are unsuitable for small children

See you doctor or GP if symptoms worsen or persist
